Eugene Shustef Joins as Host for BOF @Lunch Cloud Computing Session on Tue 11/17

Eugene Shustef is a Chief Engineer for Global Technology & Offering Development (GTOD) at Xerox Global Services, where he has worked in various roles since 2004. His current assignment is to lead the GTOD Advanced Technology Team responsible for:

  • ·         Incorporation of emerging technologies into current platforms
  • ·         Delivering preview version of the future technology platforms
  • ·         Development of advanced software services and components

Eugene is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with a BS degree in Computer Science and an MBA in Finance.

David Pallman Joins as Host for BOF @Lunch Cloud Computing Session on Tue 11/17

We are pleased to announce that David Pallman will be one of the expert hosts for the BOF @Lunch: Will Cloud Computing Change Your Life? on Tue 11/17 12:30-1:15 pm.

David Pallmann is Director of Custom Application Development for Neudesic, a Microsoft National System Integrator, where he is responsible for Azure technical readiness and delivery. He is a co-organizer of the national Azure User Group and a regular contributor of community software including Azure Storage Explorer, Azure ROI Calculator, and AzureDesignPatterns.com.  Prior to Neudesic David worked at Microsoft on the WCF product team. He has written 3 technical books and is rumored to be working on an Azure book. He lives in Southern California with his wife and 3 children.

Simon Guest is the Senior Director of Technical Strategy in the Developer and Platform Evangelism (DPE) group at Microsoft, responsible for helping developers worldwide deliver practical and elegant solutions using Microsoft technologies.

Since joining Microsoft in 2001, Simon has led the Microsoft Platform Architecture Team, acted as Editor-in-Chief of the Microsoft Architecture Journal, pioneered the area of .NET and Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) interoperability, worked with customers on mission critical .NET solutions, and has been a regular speaker at many conferences worldwide, including PDC, TechEd, and JavaOne.

Michael Stiefel Joins as Host for BOF @Lunch Cloud Computing Session on Tue 11/17

We are pleased to announce that Michael Stiefel, principal of Reliable Software, Inc. will be one of the expert hosts for the BOF @Lunch: Will Cloud Computing Change Your Life? on Tue 11/17 12:30-1:15 pm.

As a member of an OASIS Technical Committee he helped develop a core SOA Reference Model and related Reference Architectures.  He is also a Microsoft Solutions Architect MVP.

He was a Lecturer in the Aeronautics and Astronautics Department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where his research and teaching focus was understanding how people build mental models in order to solve problems. As Adjunct faculty, Stiefel has taught graduate and undergraduate software engineering courses at Northeastern University and Framingham State University.

Michael Stiefel’s education is from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with a Interdisciplinary Ph.D degree in Nuclear Engineering, Political Science, and History of Technology; M.S. in Nuclear Engineering; and B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He is an active member of the IEEE Consultants Network.

Aaron is co-founder of Pluralsight where he focuses on cloud computing, service-oriented architecture (SOA), XML and Web services technologies. He focuses primarily on the Microsoft platform and is considered an expert in the Microsoft community on Windows Azure, the Azure Services Platform, Windows Communication Foundation, BizTalk Server, SOAP/REST, and XML technologies. Aaron frequently consults with small companies to the largest enterprises on how to approach realistic service-oriented architectures using these technologies.
